Starting with our personal favourite which is Fanatix which was also named in the Sunday Times Best Apps list.
Here are it's features and why we think it's currently the best football app:
- Twitter Tracker - It has a Twitter tracker so you can follow you favorite footballers and see what everyone is tweeting about. Keep in touch with all the pre-game banter, in-game chat and post-match reaction.
- Latest Scores - In our opinion, a must for any football app is to have a really good live scores feature. Fanatix app allows you to view all the latest scores, from all over the world, up to the minute and straight to your device.
- Goal Alerts - Free goal alerts on your iPhone or iPod the moment they hit the back of the net. Can prove incredibly addictive on weekends when you are at one game and desperately want to know what’s happening at another.
- In Game Chat - As well as the wonderful goal alert system you can also enjoy all the chat, discussions, debates that will no doubt be going on before, during and after the big game
With minute-by-minute commentary of live matches, fixture lists, league tables and news headlines, this app is essential for football fans.
Nike Football+ presents: Master Control
If you spend more time playing football than watching it, Nike’s Master Control app should be on your phone. The app offers a four-week program of training drills, including tips from some of Barcelona’s star players.
For those who like a flutter on the football like a bet on Premier League winner, this app from William Hill includes in-play betting, fast access to accumulators and “hot picks” lists so you can see what everyone else is backing without having to search for it.
