Elmo Live
Elmo Live took 19 months to develop, and owes its smooth moves to sophisticated software and a Chinese chip design. (His head and mouth movements mimic ordinary speech, and he can stand, sit, wave his arms or cross his legs, all while joking and performing song and dance routines.) The result: a doll with more acting range than Tom Cruise.

Swarovski studded Yoga Bags to fight breast cancer.
What does Swarovski, Yoga and breast cancer have in common? The Libby Ross Foundation OM Yoga Program! And what is their goal? Well the renowned crystal brand is teaming up with this foundation to do their bit for women suffering from breast cancer. A group of creative celebrities, including three mother daughter teams, has joined the cause to raise funds for this unique program by decorating yoga bags with Swarovski jewels that will be listed on eBay with eBay Giving Works.
These bags are donated by Global Design Concepts Inc for the noble cause. Just like the positive effects of yoga, the goal of The Libby Ross Foundation OM Yoga Program is also to promote healing and a sense of well being for breast cancer survivors. Yoga can help one get rid of all the toxins from the body and when it’s a bejeweled Yoga mat then I’m sure the healing powers will be boosted twofold.

The organizations are also hosting a Sunrise Yoga class against the sweeping 360-degree views of New York City at Top of the Rock Observation Deck for 40 mothers, daughters and sisters who have been touched by this disease. Just in time for the Mother’s day, Swarovski will also donate $75,000 to The Libby Ross Foundation OM Yoga Program from the sales of its pink ribbon charm and pink heart necklace.

Wii Fit Christmas Best Seller?

Nintendo's Wii Fit Balance Board is the most searched for gadget online according to recent data from the web gurus at Hitwise. Nintendo's Wii console is close behind it, while the Apple iPhone slots into third place in the list.

The full run-down is as follows:

1. Nintendo Wii Fit

2. Nintendo Wii

3. Apple iPhone

4. Nokia N96

5. Apple iPod

6. Sony PlayStation 3

7. Microsoft Xbox 360

8. Apple iPod touch

9. Apple iPod nano

10. Nintendo DS

The popularity bubble enveloping the Nintendo Wii shows no sign of popping this Christmas. Crucially, Nintendo is the only one of the three next-gen console manufacturers to have not dropped the price of its hardware. It has never offered the Nintendo Wii in a different configuration either.

According to a recent data mashup from the NPD, Chart-Track, and Enterbrain, Wii Fit sold 2.1 million units between July and September this year. The figures put it second only to EA's Madden NFL 09, which notched up three million sales.

The RRP of the Wii Fit pack has remained rock-solid at £79.99. Like the Wii, expect the Balance Board to be much harder to come by as Christmas approaches.

Amazon UK is already selling some Wii Fit packs for over £100, while the second-hand market generally adds a £15-£20 mark up.

The ongoing success of the Wii as a cross-generation games machine has seen Nintendo flog 36 million consoles worldwide. The Xbox 360 is in second place with an impressive 22.5 million, while the PS3 is stuck in third having mustered 16.7 million global sales.

It's popularity is strangely at odds with the Nintendo Wii's piddly games library and the fact that, once the initial appeal has worn off, this multiplayer party machine gathers just as much dust as Monopoly and Scrabble in your cupboard.

YO iPod MP3 Stereo Speaker Dock

American designer Victor Vetterlein has designed Yo, an MP3 player dock gadgets with removable stereo speakers. The design is very cool and contemporary.

The proposed portable system can be recharged by solar, wind or hydroelectric power. Each speaker is wireless and can be removed from the base unit.

Introducing ‘YO’ - an iPod and MP3 stereo speaker dock by Victor Vetterlein. YO is a rechargeable and wireless stereo speaker docking station for digital audio players. The system is portable, waterproof, and suitable for indoor and outdoor use.

Inside the dock base are lithium-ion (rechargeable) batteries that are capable of powering the stereo system for hours when the unit is disconnected from a power source. The design intention is that a renewable energy source such as solar power, wind power, or hydroelectricity charges the battery packs when the stereo is not in use.

The speakers also contain lithium-ion batteries in their base, and recharge when placed in the stereo base portals. The batteries also provide high-density ballast enabling the speakers to stand upright when removed from the charging ports.

The speaker enclosure is designed to amplify sound. The speakers are mounted in the rear of the speaker housing. Similar to a megaphone, the front portion of the speaker enclosure is extruded to increase and direct sound.

Two removable rods are mounted between the stereo speakers to stabilize the stereo assembly and provide a lifting handle when the unit is transported.
